The science behind the practitioner
Andrew is an exercise physiologist, sport scientist, and performance nutritionist with a PhD from Abertay University, where his research pioneered the use of Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) in professional boxing. His methods are now adopted by leading practitioners and national governing bodies worldwide.
From recreational competitors to world and Olympic champions, Andrew works with athletes across all sports and levels — delivering bespoke, evidence-based programmes that bridge the gap between laboratory research and real-world performance.
As a consultant to elite teams, educator for the British Boxing Board of Control, and Full Member of The Physiological Society, he brings a rare combination of academic rigour and hands-on coaching experience to every athlete he works with.
